Does aspirin use decrease risk of pulmonary embolism? i take two, 325mg aspirin every day for headaches. does this reduce the likelihood of developing an embolism?

Even : Even at the high doses of Aspirin that you are taking, there is no substantiated medical evidence that this is useful in preventing pulmonary embolism or deep vein thrombosis. Aspirin is a highly effective anti-platelet agent when taken in low doses (e.g. 81mg a day) and this means that it is effective in preventing arterial blood clots, such as those that cause a heart attack or stroke. It is not a reliable agent in trying to prevent venous blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) that can embolize to the lungs (pulmonary embolism). Taking such high doses of Aspirin every day for headaches is highly concerning and may be causing you more harm than good. I recommend talking to your doctor about your headaches and medication use.
