See a dentist: This one is pretty obvious. Start with the dentist to find out about your oral health. This includes checking you for periodontal disease, cavities and possible tooth infections. The dentist or hygienist will work with you on how to improve your situation. If your breath problem does not improve you may be referred to other specialists to help with your issue.

Find the cause: Bad breath can be caused by cavities, gum inflammation (gingivitis), from your stomach or a collection of germs on your tongue. I would recommend checking with your dentist.

Hygiene: Oral hygiene, gastric, sinus issues are the leading causes of bad breath
poor oral hygiene leads to periodontal issues.
Also diet can affect your breath.
Good brushing, including your tongue, flossing, regular dental cleanings, are where to start. If the problem continues, address the other above issues.

See your dentist: Sources: gut, plaque (germs), pus (infection), cavities (rotting tooth). See your dentist to find the reason for yours. Until then: avoid foods that cause it (garlic, onions, certain spices); floss and brush your teeth (every night); use listerine (essential oils help), and cut out the sugar habit to minimize further decay (note--i didn't say "eliminate" decay).

Bad Breath: Go to: http://www.Smilesapartcosmeticdentist.Com/fresh-breath-control.Htm then see your dentist to rule out all dental causes, followed by your physician to rule out all medical causes. This needs to be evaluated by both professionals as to cause and treatment. There is generally no real "cure" but rather prevention and maintenance. You can't take a shower never to be dirty again.
