Hello, There : Hello, there are many ways to perform a "browlift" which is intended to elevate the eyebrows and smooth the forehead. There are no versions of browlift for which paralysis of the forehead and reduced movement of the brows is an expected permanent outcome. However, depending upon the exact version of the operation your doctor performs for you, there may be some swelling or a tight feeling to the forehead which while perhaps desirable, may reduce the normal degree of brow / forehead movement in casual conversation. Surgical swelling can take many weeks to completely resolve. Dan downey md facs downey plastic surgery seattle, wa, usa.

Brow lift: A brow lift raises the resting position of the eyebrow but does not prevent its movement. The recovery for a brow lift or pexy is a few weeks but movement is present immediately after the surgery.

Elevates Brow: A brow lift elevates the brow and even lifts the upper eye lids a bit. After surgery, the brow will be able to express emotions and will look natural. There is no "frozen" time during recovery, though there is swelling. Most patients are able to return to work after 1 to 2 weeks (depending on the nature of work and bruising/swelling concerns). Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.
