Not : Not every ultrasound department offers 3-d ultrasound photos; therefore, it is important to call ahead before your appointment to find out whether or not the office has the capability of 3-d imaging. Also, make sure that you inform the ultrasound technologist before the examination starts that you would like a 3-d photo. Getting good 3-d images (or even good 2-d images for that matter) can be very difficult and even possible for the ultrasound technologist depending on the fetal position. This sometimes requires patience and understanding if the images are suboptimal. About the only thing you can do to help make the ultrasound technologist 's job easier is to start the examination with a full bladder.

3D : Level 2 ultrasound is the full anatomy scan of your fetus. To get the best picture you would ask for 3d us. Not too beneficial for diagnostic purposes but gives better pictures of the outside surfaces such as a face.
