Detailed anatomy: A level ii us is a very detailed look at the baby's anatomy. Gender can normally be seen, though you don't need a level ii for this. It may include a consult for genetics. It's normally indicated in high risk pregnancies: over age 35, twins, high blood pressure. Not all level ii uss will include 3d pictures which can also be done with a normal us. Cost varies greatly depending on where you are.

Depends: Us can depict the sex of the baby at about 20 weeks, give or take a few. Most reputable places do not hand out pictures. It is a medical test, not a photography studio.
