What's it cost to get 3d ultrasound? i'm not sure my insurance will cover 3d ultrasound, but i'd really like to do it. about what would it cost me if i just went out of pocket and paid for it?

You need to call ahead and determine whether or not an imaging center has 3-d ultrasound capability (this requires a special 3-d ultrasound probe and the appropriate computer software). When you are at your appointment let the ultrasound technologist know you would like 3-d images. There are some non-medical 3-d ultrasound businesses which offer packages priced from $75 - $300; however, these images are not evaluated by physicians and should not replace a medical obstetric ultrasound exam.
