Depends: The position of the fetus can be important in being able to see the area of interest. Some males are clearly seen at 12 weeks. Testicles are not fully descended unto the scrotum until 24-28 wks. If the fetal position is favorable gender can usually be confidently determined by 14-16 weeks. Individual results will vary.
