Yes: Cardiac involvement in sarcoid is not uncommon but most pts experience arrrhythmias that are usually self limited. However some pts cand develop extensive granulomatous infiltration of the heart conduction system and are at risk for suuden death defibrillators have been of some help. Also pts with advanced fibrosi can develop a rv cardiomyopathy with increased potential for arrest.

Rarely: In rare cases sarcoidosis can involve the heart's electrical system that regulates the rhythm. Sometimes this conducting system can be interrupted by inflammation caused from sarcoidosis and cause failure of the normal pacing of the heart. This could cause arrest. Also arrhythmias are more common in cardiac sarcoidosis which could cause an arrest.
