After eating i cough up phelgm ..what might cause this. this has been happening for a few years. no ill health except for sarcoidosis which has gone.

Could be reflux: this can assume Jim is coming with reflux. You would be wise to discuss this with your physician. You may be advised to see a gastroenterologist to help confirm this diagnosis. You should have s chest x-ray or other imaging to see if there are any chronic lung problems from reflux. The sarcoidosis may not be an issue anymore but that still needs clarification in view of your persistent symptoms
