Rarely needed: There are a few very rarely neurological problems which cause a need for reading glasses in a 15 year old. Most kids that age who use them are pushed into it by optometrists seeking to make extra money by selling an unnecessary eyeglass. Always check with an ophthalmologist in this situation.
