Soft foods at first.: Learning to eat with your dentures will take some practice- you should start with soft foods cut into small pieces and chew slowly. You will always have to be careful of very hard foods and hot food and beverages. Eventually you will be able to eat most anything.

Not what but how: You can eat almost anything you want. However, you might have to cut up certain hard foods in small pieces so as not to dislodge your denture while eating. In the beginning, there is an adjustment period when you make the transition from natural to artificial teeth. It will take time to learn how to eat differently.

Lots of things: I tell all my denture patients to start slowly and work your way up. Think that you are cutting up food for an 18 month old child. Small pieces, eaten slowly. Your chewing will be more like grinding than biting down in order to be effective. Be patient and careful. Try these: eggs, applesauce, quiche, mashed potatoes, ground beef / turkey, pasta cut small, yogurt, peas, bananas, chicken cut small.
