I have a hammer toe and club foot problem, are there any treatments to alleviate the symptoms?

Deformity: Treatment should start with conservative methods such as padding and molded shoes. If you are in good health then reconstructive surgery may be needed to correct the deformities. Club foot is now treated when a child is very young with a serial casting technique. You are too old for casting to work.

See a specialist: If you have untreated club foot from childhood, this is something that can be corrected with osteotomies and releases, although at your age would likely involve some fusions too. If it is another deformity, it would likely involve less surgery, if any. A fellowship trained foot and ankle specialist can tell you via a physical exam and xrays what is going on.

Treatment options: Treatment options include conservative and surgical management. Conservative management options include use of orthotic devices, change in shoe wear, medications such as oral no-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids), steroid injections, padding of corns and calluses, and splinting and strapping. See a specialist to get the appropriate treatment.
