Depends on the age: Virtually all forms of genuine clubfoot can be reduced by serial casting in children under the age of about 4 years. Some even up to 7 years. However, in the mature foot, it usually requires surgical intervention. This may be performed by traditional reconstruction procedures, or by special ilizarov framing procedures.
