Does not "work": Hyperbaric treatment (hbot) is relatively contraindicated non compensated chf. Poorly functioning heart muscle contributing to CHF can precipitate acute CHF primarily from "pressure" effects of hbot. Hbot does not "help heal" CHF or improve poor cardiac function.

Hyperbaric treatment: The literature on the use of hyperbaric oxygen for congestive heart failure is not conclusive about whether it helps. This is not one of the indications that medicare reimburses facilities or physicians for either. This usually means considerable out of pocket costs for those patients. In fact, one of the contraindications for hyperbaric oxygen are for people with ejection fractions are low.

Agree w earlier: Input. This would be risky to the patient if poorly controlled. There is not an fda indication for congestive heart failure hbot . Remember - hbot has inherent risks.
