Migraine? : This sounds like a migraine, sinus or a cluster headache. If the things you usually try for a headache don't relieve it, seek medical attention from doctor. A headache lasting longer than 48 hours should be checked out.

Migraine headaches are caused by excess blood flow to the brain secondary to overly dilated blood vessels as a result of parasympathetic vascular tone as a consequence of some sort of trigger. What to do? Reduce sugar intake, fried foods and vegetable oils; keep your blood sugar as stable as possible because fluctuating blood sugars affect autonomic tone. High sugars stimulate release of insulin and the parasympathetic nervous system, while low sugars stimulate adrenaline and the sympathetic nervous system.
