A member asked:

I had small bowel resection and repair if incarcerated hernia ib sepember this year im now getting pain in my left groin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Post operative pain: It is common to have incision pain after surgery. Pain in the groin can be also caused by nerve entrapment, and scar tissue that forms. If there is vomiting at times one should be on the lookout for fibrous bands of tissue that can develop which can lead to a partial obstruction of the bowel. Constipation following surgery can also lead to the groin pain that has developed.
