Can be many things: Including tendonitis, stress fracture, spurs on top of foot (dorsal exostosis). I would recommend a visit to the foot doctor of your choice for definitive diagnosis and treatment.

Bone spur: In some foot types such as a high arched foot bone spur formation may occur around the mid foot joints. This is a benign process. This can lead to compression neuropathy or burning nerve pain if a nerve courses through the area.
