Depends: Most endurance training workouts are best fueled by a well balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables. Having an adequate of amount of carbs is important to maximize the glycogen stores in the muscles, which provides the muscles with energy. Supplement with adequate hydration, a small of amount of protein as well.
