What causes a visual hallucination ?

Many: Visual hallucinations are usually associated with some medical issue eg seizures, fever, drug use, or can be normal-see answer for related to sleep. When emotional are associated with ptsd or in severe psychosis usually assoiciated with auditory hallucinations.
