Muscle spasms?: Cramps usually mean that your are having painful spontaneous muscle contractions. Maintain adequate fluid intake and check blood tests for magnesium, ionized calcium & phosphorus. Avoid drinking alcohol. Statins for lowering cholesterol may also cause something similar.
