See your Dentist: Highest probability is that you have an abscesses (infected) tooth. Infected gums also a possibility. You really need to be examined by your Dentist to be properly diagnosed and treated. Know that tooth infections and gum infections do not self correct.

Dental exam needed: You need to see a dentist ASAP. This maybe a an infection, abscessed tooth that needs treatment. Delay can cause the problem to get worse with more pain and swelling. Don't worry about the name of your swelling, the Internet is full of names for things, the important thing is to get treatment.
