Arm fat: Resistance exercise builds lean mass. Muscle takes up less room than fat because it is more dense. In order to reduce fat you must also utilize diet modification.

Good for you!: Exercise can help you burn calories (lose fat), keep you flexible, and maintain strength. You can exercise without building up popeye kind of muscles. It's a matter of how much you do. Congrats on making healthy changes!
