Compression : If you are icing, elevating, taking anti-inflammatories and it is taking a while for the hematoma to go away it means that you are not getting good circulation to the area. One way to improve this is to use a compression wrap or stocking on and off. When you compress the area it will help the fluid go away. When you take it off cells will circulate to help remove the excess fluid.
