HPV in throat: Hpv contracted through oral sex can lead to throat cancer and is in fact the leading cause of oropharynx (tonsils and base of tongue) cancer. It would be uncommon (but not unheard of) to see throat cancer in someone in their 20's. However, if your throat remains sore for more than a couple of weeks you should definitely seek medical attention.
