Not likely serious: While it CAN be something serious, sore throats are usually not bad problems. A throat culture can help distinguish strep throat and some sexually transmitted diseases from viral sore throat.

Get Checked: It most likely is not cancer, but if you think it is coming back have your throat checked by your physician. You just may need to be treated.
