Yes and yes: I suspect you have polycystic kidneys and this is a genetic disorder with dominant inheritance for the majority of cases meaning that there is a one in two chance of passing it to your children. It is not a reason to avoid having kids because one can live with it for many years and sometimes never require dialysis or transplantation. If these are required they can be provided.

Kids probably OK: Multicystic dysplastic kidney is usually sporadic-- meaning it doesn't run in families. There are rare genetic causes, so if these do run in your family you should speak with a geneticist about testing. But in most cases, there is no extra risk of passing this along to your kids. Multicystic kidneys are usually diagnosed well before birth through ultrasound.

Yes & minimal risk: Multicystic dysplastic kidney is non-hereditary, occurs sporadically & due to a developmental malformation. Most involute after birth & cause no further problem a few r removed if they fail to involute.A few have kidney problems or uriary reflux on other side which might need correcting.U should have no pregnancy problems.Polycystic kidney disease another matter, genetic dominant & many problems.
