Medications: Generally, people with schizophrenia need a combination of antipsychotic medications and supportive psychotherapy. Some of the medicines include seroquel, geodon, risperdal, zyprexa, latuda, (lurasidone) abilify, and haldol, etc. Some may be given daily if the person will take them consistently. There are also some that may be given by long-acting im injection.
