It's possible: There are no early signs of colorectal cancer - which is why screening is so important. Signs of gastrointestinal bleeding and crampy abdominal pain can be signs of colorectal cancer. It is unlikely that the cramps are a sign of colorectal cancer, but you should have them investigated!

Possible: If the colon approaches obstruction because of a tumor, absolutely. Abdominal pain and the associated possibilities of diagnoses are endless. It is important to talk to a doctor to obtain a detailed history, a thorough exam, and tests that can confirm or rule out what we suspect you may have. Without this, we can only take an educated guess based on what's common.
