My mom has degenerative disc disease. what are the chances that i have inherited it?

Almost all have : Evidence of degenerative discs as we age but a percentage due get back and or neck pain as a result an their is a percentage that is inherited but more at risk if overweight &/or a smoker. The risk of inheritance is probably around 25%.
