Can eating fruit lead to dental decay?

Fruits contain: Natural sugars (fructose etc). If ones hygiene is remiss and daily sugar intake is high (artificial or natural) including juices and sodas - cavities will result. Everything in moderation and exercise good oral hygiene habits.

Depends: Fruits are full of sugars which if eaten in excess and if you don't brush your teeth after will contribute to cavities. However, good oral health practices are the best way to avoid dental decay so as long as you brush and floss twice daily you could eat most any food and be fine.

Certainly: Any food that contains suger can supply the bacteria with this energy source and they can make the acids which destroy the tooth and lead to decay.
