Yes: Make yourself comfortable and then start your feed. You baby will latch just fine.

No: It is safe to breastfeed in bed only if the breastfeeding mom won't fall asleep in bed with the baby (because there is a small chance that the baby will get tangled up in something and suffocate, or the baby might be accidentally smothered by the adult in the bed).
