Oral splint: If you have an oral splint that fits, this usually helps significantly. If you don't have this then try a sports guard to get by temporarily. However, please be seen by a dentist asap. Try to avoid medications.

Pineapple juice: Anecdotally, pineapple juice is said to contain a substance called bromelain which has anti-inflammatory properties. How much of it you need to drink has not been investigated as well to my knowlegde. A warm moist compress may also help with particularly painful episodes but bear in mind that TMJ disorders are multifactorial and require a team of professionals to manage or treat.

Physical therapy: Depending on the severity of your tmj/tmd, you can possibly have physical therapy and a mouthpiece made. It all depends on your diagnosis and symptoms. Normally no meds unless your doctor okays. Should really see a specialist to address your concerns.

A few things.: Self treat with soft diet, jaw exercises, massage, heat/cold, OTC pain meds. A splint or physical therapy would be next. Run any treatment by your Peds doc.
