Inflammation: The hand pain that you describe could be from arthritis in the joints, tendonitis, or an irritated nerve. I would recommend seeing your physician to have an examination and possibly x-rays to help diagnose your condition.

Get an exam: You describe a very vague symptom. There are a lot of causes of radiating pain in the hand. Carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, trigger fingers, infection, vascular compromise, fractures and arthritis. A through hand examination and some diagnostic test should provide a diagnosis.
