Numbness: There are a number of reasons for this. Seeing your treating surgeon is most beneficial as he knows what was done in the operating room.

Many reasons: Although there are many reasons, seeing your treating surgeon should be your first reference. Possibilities that could cause numbness, post-operative swelling or normal expected post-operative symptoms. Please provide more information (post-operative time since surgery, which implant was used, etc). I hope this helps.

Nerve injury: Possibly there is injury to the posterior tibial nerve. You should ask your surgeon regarding this possibility. Sometimes it may take six months to a year to resolve on its own.
