No!: Laryngitis is most often caused by a viral infection which will not need antibiotics. In fact, giving antibiotics for a viral infection might cause more problems. Is your daughter with high fever or problems breathing, or does she just have a hoarse voice. If only her voice is changed, increase liquids to drink and give tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain. If she has problems breathing or cough, see her doctor.
