Inflammation: Although the antibiotic will kill the bacteria that caused your illness, the inflammation caused by the bacteria will take up to 6 weeks to resolve completely. As long as your voice continues to improve you should be fine. If at 6 weeks after you infection you are not 100% see you local md.
