Started with what i thought was a cold on fri which developed into laryngitis on sat.i have lost my voice,have a blocked nose, have body aches&a headache but no fever. i cough up thick yellow/green sputum in the mornings. covid test or antibiotics?

URI: Absence of fever is reassuring. I believe you have a simple upper respiratory tract infection and are still in the viral stage. Rest up, drink adequate fluids and if the cough with discolored sputum doesn't improve but persists beyond a week, I would consider antibiotics for what would then be a bacterial bronchial infection. Perhaps your MD would be willing to prescribe and forego an office exami
