If my family has rheumatoid arthritis in the wrists and hands, does this mean i have a higher chance of having foot arthritis?

Possibly: Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic disease that can affect any joint in the body. It does tend to run in families so if you have any symptoms, i would recommend testing.

Maybe: If you are diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, the foot joints and ankle can be affected. If you are having any pain or swelling in your joints, a rheumatology work up may be beneficial.
