Rheumatoid arthritis: A negative rheumatoid factor does not rule out rheumatoid arthritis. Of course, the differential should include autoimmune diseases, postviral syndromes or metabolic diseases, thyroid specifically, given your history. Talk to your doctor about the next step in managing your symptoms.
