Hand Exercises: The best hand exercises are to improve and maintain range of motion. Getting a soft rubber ball and squeezing it helps with establishing motion and strengthening. Also getting small objects, such as marbles and picking them up individually works more with fine motor control.

Range of motion : Range of motion but without significant torque and force that increases ulnar drift or joint instability. While squeezing a ball is good i generally recommend a smaller device such as a star or sponge. Working on making a full fist and the typical 6 pack exercises that therapist use helps a lot.
