Need to see a doctor: If the infection is really in the inner ear, you need to see a doctor asap as that has the potential of spreading to the brain. If needed, go to an emergency room.

Urgent: You should see an ENT asap and get a hearing test. They need to find out what type of hearing loss you have. Depending on the type, you may need treatment right away....So don't delay.
