Yes: One of the risk factors for thrombosis is recent illness and immobility which is present after a heart attack. The good news is you will usually be on medications which clotting less likely.

Inactivity: The number one reason would be inactivity from being hospitalized and not walking around.

Inactivity : I agree with dr hansen, the number one reason would be inactivity from being hospitalized. However there is also a hypercoagulable state from the inflammation of the heart attack itself.
