A member asked:

My father has had a heart attack, blood clot, and is waiting to have a aortic dissection surgery. can a heart rate of 130 temporarily be bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: That's the least of his worries right now. More mumbo-jumbo is written about heart rate than about many other things. Medications, anxiety, and human variabilty are all factors I'm glad your dad has you at this difficult time.
