Can tears from a conjunctivitis-infected eye infect my other eye?

Yes: There is no practical way to prevent the spread of conjunctivitis if you have it, to the other eye. Treat the second eye in the same way as your ophthalmologist has advised for the first. Usually it is shorter in duration in eye #2.
