Keep under 10,000/da: The key words are "too much" - at high doses vitamin a can cause birth defects and liver toxicity. The government considers 10, 000 iu (3000 micrograms) to be the maximum safe daily dose during pregnancy, so you should be ok - but to be safe, consider decreasing your vitamin to once a day, which is probably the recommended dosage anyway.
