What are some tips to help someone having an asthma attack while waiting for an ambulance or after giving them their meds?

See below: Keep calm - anxiety makes you more short of breath, even though that is hard to do in the middle of an asthma attack; make sure you are breathing clean air - open window preferably unless it is really cold - away from smoke, fumes etc.
