A member asked:

What is the best way to take aspirin if you suspect a heart attack. do you chew it, or swallow it with water or what?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chew it: Chewing any medication will break it up and help speed absorption. Additionally, many forms of Aspirin have an "enteric coating" which effectively delays absorption and thus delays the effect of the medicine.
