My biopsied nodule was deemed cancerous. the cancer m.d. was perplexed that the nodule shrunk. i chose the wait and see choice. was that wise?

Need More Info: Where was the nodule? What is the presumed origin of the cancer? Did your cancer doctor give you the "wait-and-see" option? If things are not crystal-clear, return to your cancer doctor for clarification and/or seek out a formal second opinion. Good luck.

Cancer shrunk: If this was a small skin cancer it might be a reasonable choice. Some basal cell cancers shrink when biopsied as the patient's immune system seems to pick them up and starts trying to destroy the remaining disease. This is the riskier choice in this case as the cancer might return, but they do not all return. I wouldn't do this "watch and wait" with many other types of cancer though.
