By all means: At the very least, kids should have a yearly check by the doctor. If less than 3 years old, the visits are more frequent so things like developmental problems can be picked up. Your child's body is contantly changing and growing, and problems can arise at any time. As for blood tests, these also vary by age and circumstances (ie: do you live in a old home and child needs lead level checked)?
