Type I Herpes?: Herpes labialis, generally associated with type i herpes can cause multiple small blisters. It is a common problem and not serious. Canker sores are another possibility. Also not serious. Both conditions should improve in a few days. If not, get it checked out.

Need doctor visit: Blisters in the lower lips can be due to many different conditions. Herpes simplex, other viruses, canker sores, certain types of colitis, minor trauma(biting gums or lips by accident), associated with underlying illnesses such as lupus or behcets, reactions to medicines, sexually transmitted diseases including syphilis are all possible
